17 killed, 250 hurt in new wave of Kyrgyz unrest (AP)

AP - Riots in southern Kyrgyzstan killed at least 17 people and injured more than 250, officials said Friday, as fears grew over a new cycle of violence in the Central Asian nation that hosts U.S. and Russian military bases.
