2008 Quebec International Airshow - RAF Red Arrows

RAF Red Arrows Aerial Performance 2008 Quebec International Airshow 2008 Spectacle Aérien International Familiprix de Québec Jean-Lesage International Airport Quebec City, Quebec, Canada Friday June 13, 2008 IN THIS VIDEO, watch as the Red Arrows perform a twilight show performance over the skies of Jean Lesage International Airport. Keep in mind that this is my first time seeing the Reds fly and I was absolutely amazed and had practically no idea what to expect as far as maneuvers and such from the team. Performance narrated in French. Like what you’ve seen? Well, if you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate “version” of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take time to check out Steve’s Airshow World at www.stevesairshow.com .

Lol, He gets so exited, makes me laugh

This was an awesome show! Thanks for posting it. I have such great respect and admiration of the RAF Red Arrows. Love them.

Too bad the best fighter aircraft of the US is not used in precision flying formations at air shows. The F15 Eagle and the YF22 Raptor, if used, would display turns and aeronautic prowess that would be breath taking. To be sure you would not want to come up on a formation of either of them in combat. That is where it all counts. By the way no F15 Eagle has ever been lost in a combat mission. Not one. The Raptor is yet to be used.

@crazyhyperkid23
also the blue angels are about noise and acceleration, the thunderbirds are similar but better, more aircraft, more formations and precision flying showing pilot skills. they both come behind the snowbirds and the tricolori tho who like the arrows are masters of precision multi aircraft display flying. the angels and thunderbirds are more about noise, thrust and power rather than precision flying. its a shame cus the US has pilots with the skills to perform similar displays.

@parker542 You are VERY FOOLISH to be saying that on Youtube. Accidents happen, all of the brave men who fly these wonderful aircraft, no matter what nationality deal with the risk of a crash. Would you dare say that to a Blue Angels pilot?

Also bear in mind they change their pilots every two years. This just goes to show that there is no shortage of skilled pilots in the Royal Air Force.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooo long video
cool planes

the red arrows own the americans at everything at least they dont crash all the time like in the blue angels or thunderbirds,no affence to the pilots who crashed they were brave men but these are just the best end of, come to england and watch a proper display from these boys in red

That’s Americans all over - big and noisy. You have absolutely no idea about finesse, subtlety or skill in anything you do, from international diplomacy - to air shows. If you want so see what American pilots think about the Red Arrows, find this entry on YouTube: Dangermen - Red Arrows HD

red arrows fly toy planes they look so tiny next to a F18 and their so quiet you don’t even know their’s an air show going on..give me the trill of an F18 going by at 700mph with their loud thundering engines roaring

Pussy planes. :D

J/K. But I do love watching the Blue Angels.

Beautiful.

In comparing aerobatic teams one can only compare like with like, The Blue Angels, and Frecce Tricolori are all superb., The Snow Birds and The Red Arrows. The nine ship Red Arrows are in my opinion the finest 9 ship around. They are the definitive 9 ship team.
Displays also by Frecce Tricoloroi sre innovative and superb too. I was lucky enough to see them when they were Aerobrigata 4a over fifty years ago, as well as the Patrouille de France. All were and still are excellent.

Becaue the head to head moves the blue angels perform was origionally by the reds. You wouldnt be saying that if you were british.

The Arrows do more moves, and more difficult moves. The Angels are good but its all power and noise and single moves. Dont forget the Snowbirds they could be on par with the Arrows with pure skill. Luv the US airforce team more down to earth and less big headed.

Their both good its just the arrows do more, more changes and moves. Plus they aint yanks. Dont forget the Snow birds they are on par with the arrows.

Could you be more precise? WHY don’t you see how people say they’re better? What is it about the Blue Angels that you think is better than the Red Arrows?

They’re good, but I don’t see how people say they’re better than the Blue Angels…

Hi all,
A beautiful display and really good camera work! Anybody who has filmed airplanes in flight knows how hard it is to get really good video footage. We at TeamM filmed the Red Arrows at the Roskilde Airshow in Denmark in 2009. What a display! If there’s anybody out there who hasn’t whatched an air display before, find the next one and do!

I have? uploaded and edited video clip on our YouTube site, and you are very welcome to it. Just search for “TilleTeamM Roskilde”.

/Tille, TeamM

they should do a advert for aquafresh, lolz!

There are other great Aerobatic teams but these guys are the best in the world, bar ABSOLUTELY NONE. Practice, practice, practice and then Practice again makes them the tops!!!

Practice, practice, practice.
Its all done by stopwatch in the Hawk.
Literally, there is a stopwatch on the front of the glare shield, around about the place the HUD would be if the Hawk had one.

When they’re in the diamond 9 formation they’re around 4ft apart from each other.

@audiboy251 the syncro pair does 600 knots heading towards each other.

maybe crazy but its the best of the brits =]
