AP Exclusive: Chile gives US weapon-type uranium (AP)

In this photo taken Feb. 18, 2010, a soldier guards a transport cask containing a transfer cylinder that holds highly enriched uranium at 'La Reina' reactor in Santiago. Just ahead of Monday's nonproliferation summit in Washington, Chile has provided an example of how countries can rid themselves of nuclear material, working with the U.S. to remove the last of its highly enriched uranium. The material was then shipped to the US, where much of it will be converted to safer fuel and resold for nuclear power. (AP Photo/Jorge Saenz)AP - With U.S. President Barack Obama shifting his nuclear nonproliferation strategy to rogue states and terrorists, Chile has become an example of how small countries can play a big part in making the world safer.
