Band International Unveils Windsor Medallion Chair at the Showman’s Show

Band International (http://www.band.co.uk) will launch its brand new Windsor Medallion chair for the first time at this year’s Showman’s Show — a result of popular requests from markets in the USA, Republic of Ireland and France. A classic 18th century design, the Medallion chair is characterized by its oval back and interchangeable seat- backs and pads. As per every Band bentwood chair, the Medallion is made in Europe, stacks 10 high and is FSC certified. Band International’s Will Pakenham-Walsh agrees: “the market is desperate for an oval-back chair which stacks. The interchangeable pads are the icing on the cake.”
Band International’s recent successes have been marked by the addition of the Antique Finish into its traditional Bentwood Range. The success of the traditional Camelot limewash chair has given rise to a new range of antique finishes in gold, silver and copper. The new range offers a low maintenance chair needing very little upkeep and which, like the limewash, does not require repainting or respraying. Not only does this save in labour and maintenance costs but the chair also looks brand new at every event. To display these qualities, the company has hired 2 acrobats to perform stunts on the chairs at the show, which promises to be an exciting addition to the event.
Band International will also be showing their stylish polycarbonate chairs - the ‘Phantom range’, which was first seen at last year’s show. The transparent ‘Banquo’ in particular has received unprecedented success, thanks to its resilient nature, and remarkable stackability. It has already been used at many prestigious events and occasions.
