British media join forces against Murdoch buyout (AP)

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch has dominated Britain's press for decades, shaking Fleet Street to its foundations and dueling with the BBC. But Murdoch's latest move, an attempt to consolidate his hold over the broadcaster British Sky Broadcasting Group PLC, may be a step too far. An unprecedented media coalition has appealed to the government to take a close look at the multibillion-pound (-dollar) buyout.
