The ending of this episode always gives me goosebumps.
So who are is/are your favorite character(s) on Speed Racer & why? Oh by the way this episode is commercial free! If I remember correctly in part 1 of this episode they said there was a “Low Low pressure system” did they mean like a tropical depression or something like that? So THAT’S who the masked racer was: Rex! Hey what’s with the rotating license plate at 5:51?
What I liked about this anime was the Funny Fights they had. A punch would send the bad guy approx. 8 feet away. Also the car crashes, in some episodes about 10-15 Racers would die just because of someone wanting to kill Speed Racer. Best Anime Ever!!!
It’s a shame that Rex and Pops never reconciled. It’s also a shame that Rex never spent time with his Mom either.
Watching this with my 3 year old and reliving my watching reruns of it when I was a kid. He and I are hooked. Thank you for putting these up.

This just in.. One of the best remembered voiceover stars is now silenced. Peter Fernandez best known as the voices of Speed Racer, Racer X. & others that he did on the classic series from the 60’s. He’s also best remembered for his other shows such as Courage the Cowardly Dog, Astro Boy, Superbook,Star Blazers, and other shows as well composing the english version of the classic Speed Racer theme. WHAT!!!!!!! :O at 20:03 is Duggery during The Great Plan, but he isn’t in any episodes after that one. But in THIS one, it’s Zoomer Slick, and even though they are practically clones, (LOL), it seems like they just sampled the scenes of older episodes!! WTF! I love this episode so much <3333
