Hurricane warnings for Mexico, US as Alex churns (AP)

A National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration satelite image shows Tropical Depression Alex. On its current path, Alex is projected to make landfall in Mexico later this week, with most of its force avoiding the oil spill area in the northeastern Gulf off the Louisiana coast.(AFP/NOAA)AP - Hurricane warnings have been issued for the coasts of south Texas and northeastern Mexico as Tropical Storm Alex gains strength.
