Hurricane warnings for Mexico, US as Alex grows (AP)

A National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration satelite image shows Tropical Depression Alex. On its current path, Alex is projected to make landfall in Mexico later this week, with most of its force avoiding the oil spill area in the northeastern Gulf off the Louisiana coast.(AFP/NOAA)AP - Hurricane warnings were posted Monday for a stretch of Gulf coast in southern Texas and northern Mexico as Tropical Storm Alex gained strength and appeared on track to become a hurricane before it makes landfall later this week.
