UGK became mainstream before Pimp C died, they didn’t become trash. I bet if they would have sold millions and people who never heard of them would call them mainstream garbage artist, just because they are popular. I think this era of hip hop on the net really showed that there’s far less hip hop heads than expected, and that most so called hip hop heads were just lucky that the mainstream artist of the past were dope.
