Iraq: twin car bombs kill at least 16 in Baghdad (AP)

Iraqis chant slogans demanding more electricity in Basra, Iraq's second-largest city, 550 kilometers (340 miles) southeast of Baghdad, Iraq, Saturday, June 19, 2010. Hundreds of protesters rallied in the mainly Shiite southern city of Basra Saturday to protest the lack of electricity as summertime temperatures soar above 120 degrees and many homes are left without electricity. The demonstration turned violent when protesters started throwing stones at the provincial council building and set fire to a guard's cabin, causing government security forces to fire into the air to disperse the crowd.
