Israel: Flotillas aim to get weapons to Gaza (AP)

Palestinians search a destroyed runway to collect gravel at the airport damaged by late Israeli air strikes in Rafah, southern of Gaza Strip, Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip was imposed after the militant Hamas group violently seized power in the territory three years ago. Cement and other building materials are rarely allowed by Israel to enter Gaza, and Israel says the blockade is meant to keep weapons out of Gaza and to put pressure on its Hamas rulers. (AP Photo/Adel Hana)AP - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu charged Wednesday that the real motivation behind plans to send blockade-busting ships toward Gaza is to allow free flow of weapons into the Palestinian territory.
