Narco-blogger beats Mexico drug war news blackout (AP)

** EDS NOTE GRAPHIC CONTENT ** This image taken from a computer screen Thursday Aug. 12, 2010 in Mexico City, partially shows a page of the 'Blog del Narco' displaying exclusive images of the killing of a candidate for governor and other people in the Mexican northern Tamaulipas state in June 2010. The Blog del Narco, posted by an anonymous blogger, is giving an inside view of Mexico's raging drug war. Operating from behind a curtain of computer security, Blog del Narco in less than six months has become Mexico's go-to Internet site at a time when mainstream media are feeling pressure and threats to stay away from the story. The writing reads in Spanish 'Pictures of the massacre of the candidate Rodolfo Torre Cantu. On the day he was killed the candidate for governor for the 'Todos Tamaulipas', PRI, New Aliance and PVEM, Rodolfo Torres Cantu, here we bring you the pictures of the massacre. The pictures are rough'. (AP Photo)AP - An anonymous, twentysomething blogger is giving Mexicans what they can’t get elsewhere — an inside view of their country’s raging drug war.
