Portugal vs Cameroon [3-1] - International Friendly [01/06/2010]

Portugal entered the game with three changes to the starting XI that had faced Cape Verde a week ago. Duda replaced Fabio Coentrao at left-back, Raul Meireles filled Miguel Veloso’s shoes as a defensive midfielder, and Simao Sabrosa was deployed on the right wing instead of Nani. As for Cameroon, the biggest news was the inclusion of star striker Samuel Eto’o, who had missed the friendly against Slovakia. Portugal almost found the opener in the first minute, when Benoit Assou-Ekotto played a pass back to Carlos Kameni, who was disarmed by Liedson but the ball went out for a goal kick. The opening minutes were played at a fast place as Portugal looked determined to break down Cameroon. In the 13th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo had a great chance to break the deadlock when he raced down the middle after being put through by Deco, but as he entered the area, he found a bigger man in Nicolas N’Koulou, who disarmed him twice. Ronaldo almost scored just four minutes later, when he sprinted into the box before drilling a well-placed shot, but Kameni stretched himself to make the save. The Seleccao would find the back of the net in the 32nd minute, as Paulo Ferreira combined well with Simao Sabrosa down the right, and the winger sent in a low cross into the middle the box for a running Raul Meireles to volley home. In the following minute, Cameroon would be reduced to ten men as Eto’o lost his mind and was shown two yellow cards in the space of seconds, first for protesting, and then

Poor selection of players , no tactics , When ever you see this man MAKOUN on the feild of play, know that Cameroon will loose, don’t blame the young Matip or Enoh , blame Paul leguen for putting Makoun in the field . Alex Song , Matip and Enoh can do the job but when ever you see this man MAKOUN know that the match will be lost .Paul Leguen the most stupid coach that Cameroon have ever had . MAKOUN Responsible for cameroon’s misery .

That was one game dumbass. Anyone who is actually intelligent and doesn’t just look at game lineups and stats knows that Coentrao is going to start in the WC. You said Deco isn’t good.. that pretty much shatters your credibility right there.

@ieee786 LOL Deco is one of our best players he’s in Chelsea and he was in Barcelona,just check his goal ssist in our last game against mozambique

hey ieee786 , for your information, deco is one of the main reasons Portugal was so good in 2004-2006 so you got your shit wrong. He was the main playmaker. Maybe thats why they are not doing so good because he is getting older or is just not in form. but dont say he is bad.

@ieee786 Deco isn’t good? Are you serious?

@Fifa09Wii no you’re a dumb fuck.
What was the starting 11 for this match against Cameroon??

it was:
Eduardo (gk), Bruno Alves, Ricardo Carvalho, Duda, Paulo Ferreira, Pedro Mendes, Raul Meireles, Deco, Simao, Liedson, Cristiano Ronaldo.

..and Deco is a piece of shit..he is supposed to be experienced but he fucks up almost every time.

Go learn something before you talk next time.

nani and coentrao are already in the starting 11… and cut deco? youre dumb
