Somali security forces free ship, captain killed (AP)

The crew of a Libyan cargo ship seized back control from Somali pirates on Wednesday after fighting in which some of their captors are believed to have died and a crew member was wounded, the EU said.(AFP/File/Mohamed Dahir)AP - Security forces from Somalia’s semiautonomous Puntland region stormed a hijacked cargo vessel early Thursday and outgunned the pirates holding it after they fatally shot the ship’s Pakistani captain, authorities said.
