South Korea imposes independent sanctions on Iran (AP)

South Korean Foreign Ministry spokesman Kim Young-sun announces the country's sanctions against Iran at Foreign Ministry in Seoul, South Korea, Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010. South Korea said Wednesday it will ban unauthorized financial dealings with Iran as part of sanctions to join the U.S-led campaign to tighten restrictions against Tehran over its disputed nuclear enrichment program. Seoul blacklisted 102 entities, which include the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines, and 24 individuals for the sanctions, Kim said.
