@mofunzonecom No, it does NOT sound like a rotary. It sounds much better than a rotary. It sounds like a WWII German Luftwaffe fighter jet, just the way I like it !!
The GRX is so much better than the Mach 5 ! As a little boy, I was a Cub Scout. My childhood Pinewood Derby car is the GRX !!! My GRX was supposed to be gold or yellow, like the one on TV, but had to be painted blue, because we could not get gold or yellow paint on time. My GRX won, and won a medal.
The GRX is so much better, hotter, and sharper than the rather bland, sluggish, and (*ho-hum*) politically correct Mach 5. I prefer the GRX over the Mach 5 any day ! Pops Racer wants to destroy the GRX engine, ha ha ha ha… Fat chance ! Pops Racer, get a life ! Ha ha ha ha…

Ditto on the sound of the engine. Now that I’m an adult, I know its the recording of a prop plane. But linked with the cartoon, the GRX WAS THE BOMB!!!…says the now 43 year old man.
yes, the awesome sound of the engine is almost hypnotic…..incredible…sounds almost like an airplane….
