I just realized that planet telex by radiohead is kind of a rip off of this. damn

I saw him on Palladia last summer and he said he could not read music, I thought what. His music has always been, to me, orchestral like. His compositions are unbelievable. Songs like drunken rooster etc… are works of art. Gives schlubs like me some hope at getting something together with my musical quest.

Genius is right…incredible talent. Go watch ‘Live from Daryls House’ online and the Todd episode. 2 geniuses..

Gives me the shivers - genius.
Looks like the audience are on the brink of orgasm.

pricey ensemble he’s got there. LOL. I probably saw 4-5 shows of his when he was doing AWATS, TODD and Utopia ( the album ) stuff, Terrific stuff.

Hey that’s me peeping round the keyboards at 3.13! Roll on next week’s AWATS show at the Hammersmith.

No World Order..Todd’s one man “POD” show…1993-1994..I was glad to see this show at the old “Under the Rail “club, in Seattle, Nov 1993——-

I saw Todd’s opening AWATS tour in Akron, and you should have HEARD him absolutely SLAY the high notes in “I Don’t Want To Tie You Down” — sounded like he did in 1973, when he put AWATS together.
Todd was on TOP of his game. He opened with a 9-song Utopia set, INCLUDING “The Ikon,” a song I’d NEVER heard him play in my previous 22 times seeing him! A FIRST!!!

If you don’t get Todd then you don’t and won’t ever get it. Sorry.

kinda weird all these people gathering around this guy and acting so strangely some kind of demented religious experience

The tickets are a little steep here in Chicago, but I owe it to myself to catch TR live, since I missed the “Arena” tour, and that album reminded me a lot of AWATS. It was definitely the most commercial album he’s made since “Nearly Human,” definitely his best.

great…love the audience

AWATS live is coming soon…gotta check that out!
I actually own a “Live in Cyberia” VHS tape (410/500) autographed that this was culled from. This is one of the highlights for sure.

I love this uptempo version. I wish he played it more often at his concerts now but it must be a little hard to hit those falsetto notes at his age. (He turned 60 a month ago.)

Wow. I used to love this song when it first came out.
Rundgren is The Business. Period.

None at all !
