The 1468 was built from 1971 to1974
The 1468 was replaced by the 1568 which was built in 1974-75

The 1468 that I know of sits up mainly because the old guy that owns it has pretty much retired from farming. The last time I remember him using it was for cutting hay a few years ago.If I did’nt have so many trucks and tractors I would try to buy it.The one DV-550 I’ve been around was fairly reliable, but it did drink the hell out of fuel.
@MsFarmhand - Could it be because of the unavailability of certain parts for the DV-550/9.0L? Of course was the DV-550 ever reliable?
@OzzInter - The DV-550 was quite common in many IH mid-range trucks of the ’60s-’70s, including the Loadstar and the Fleetstar 1950A and 2050A. The Transtar used the DVT-573 and, during the mid ’70s, the V-800 (Detroit Diesel and Cummins engines were more common in the Transtar). The DV-550 was known as the D-150/170/190 in 1975 and as the 9.0L in 1980.
The 1468 was a 1466 with a version of the “D-550″ V8 diesel used in the IH Transtar truck.
The 1466 (turbo 6 diesel) is much more common than 1468
1468 and the later 1568 are highly sort after by IH collectors now.
Very interesting tractors!!!
