Henson) latest career move has landed him in China. Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei Ying - and the feeling is mutual - but cultural differences make such a friendship impossible. Even worse, Dre’s feelings make an enemy of the class bully, Cheng. In the land of kung fu, Dre knows only a little karate, and Cheng puts “the karate kid” on the floor with ease. With no friends in a strange land, Dre has nowhere to turn but maintenance man Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), who is secretly a master of kung fu. As Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm, Dre realizes that facing down the bullies will be the fight of his life.

I saw this movie Already it is sooooo great!!! i saw the premiere!! it is more about kunfu than karate !!!!!!! I LUV THIS MOVIE!

Too bad people can’t be color blind and just sit back and enjoy a movie. It doesn’t matter who is black, white, asian, indian, latino, etc, etc. I’m a fan of the original movie and I’m probably going to not only see this movie in the theaters but also buy the DVD for my Jackie Chan collection.

This movie has absolutely nothing to do with Karate, i do not even know why they? named it in the first place. It is all about Kung Fu. Jackie Chan loses his son and wife in a car accident that leads him to become a lonely janitor. He becomes interested in helping the kid when noticed getting beat up by bully. He takes him to the temple of kung fu masters and the kid drinks from the water that makes you indestructible. The kid learns the art of the cobra stance.

i think even though ppl would also bitch if the movie was called kung fu kid i believe it would have been a better title considering the circumstances, seeing as ppl bitch about everything now a days anyways.. and so if they titled it that then next up would be tae kwon do kid xD
