What current international event should be the topic of my satire?

for school, i have to write a satire on current international news. I spent a while researching topics, but i do not know a lot about international affairs. Would someone give me a topic and explain what i should write about? I am clueless.

you could write about palin, tho i know its been done before. you could write about those retards at her book signings and stuff. look up palin book signing on youtube.
Following are some suggestion to give you some ideas to develop: Use speech the president gave Dec 1 Not for war in Afghanistan so would give it satire that was negative. Such as — After coming back from a long vacation on Spanish Rivera with week were it never rained on the plains of speech coach a very tan GW gave one of the best speeches of his life.
Or you could pretend you captain of oil super tanker as you ask the pirates to wait a few minutes before taking over the ship till you buy some oil futures.
Or make a CIA sailing travel brochure for sailing off the coast of Iran, and if you really want to push it mention all expenses paid by MASADA.
